As demand for Larroudé's luxury footwear accelerated, Clearco's Invoice Funding helped the brand scale inventory, speed production, and maintain ownership during a period of rapid growth.

The Challenge
Funding Rapid Inventory Growth Without Giving Up Ownership
Larroudé launched in 2020 with just $4,750 and 3,000 pairs of shoes stored in co-founder Marina Larroudé's apartment. Strong customer demand quickly transformed the brand from a Shopify startup into one of the fastest-growing luxury footwear companies in DTC ecommerce.
“First and foremost, it’s all about the highest quality product. A brand can be a marketing genius, but if the product’s not there, then you don’t have a brand,” says Marina Larroudé, Co-Founder and CCO of Larroudé.
However, manufacturing premium footwear requires significant upfront investment, and inventory had to be financed long before products reached customers.
Like many ecommerce brands, Larroudé needed capital that could move as quickly as the business. But traditional financing options weren't built for fashion’s pace. Raising equity meant sacrificing ownership, while bank financing couldn't keep pace with production schedules or growing customer demand.
The Solution
Invoice Funding for Ecommerce Apparel Realities
Clearco gave Larroudé the financial flexibility to scale aggressively while remaining founder-led. Rather than waiting on traditional financing or diluting ownership, Larroudé leveraged Invoice Funding to pay suppliers upfront, accelerate production, and confidently place larger inventory orders as demand increased.
"With Clearco's Invoice Funding, we could pay suppliers fast, reduce production cycles from 120 days to 45, and move from idea to market in a matter of weeks. That's unheard of in luxury footwear,” explains Ricardo Larroudé, Co-Founder and CEO of Larroudé.
The Results
Revenue Doubles Year-Over-Year
- 100% year-over-year revenue growth
- Reduced production timelines from 120 days to 45 days
The flexibility of Clearco’s Invoice Funding helped double revenue year-over-year and dramatically shortened Larroudé’s manufacturing timelines from 120 days to just 45 days. This allowed the business to respond quickly to new opportunities, while keeping products available for customers.
"We can now design a shoe and get it to market in 10 days,” says Marina. “That kind of speed is only possible because we control our supply chain and have the capital to scale it."
Clearco also enabled Larroudé to expand production capacity up to 200,000 pairs per year at its Brazil-based manufacturing facility. They used a pre-order model to validate demand in real time and Clearco helped them fulfill it without stockouts or giving up equity or control.
"We represent women, their struggles, their funny moments, from drop-offs to weddings. Our mission is to be joyful, beautiful, and authentic—and now, we can do that at scale,” says Marina.
